Personology is the closest thing we have at the moment to defining any individual personality, or likely response to given situations and stimuli, short of a backwards genetic map. Actually it is, in essence, just that. Of course, the science genetics has not come this far yet. In fact since the Human Genome Project mapped a human genome almost fifteen years ago, the study of genetics has fragmented off into many sub-categories. Most of the attention has gone to identifying genes (or combinations of genes) that lead to diseases. It must be said that this is not an altruistic endeavor by the scientific community, as it is mainly motivated by money. The money comes via the pharmaceutical industry which seeks to identify these factors (or genes) so that they may patent and sell whatever cure, genetic therapy or solution that science can come up with.
I could ramble on about bioethics for hours. However, that is not my intent. My intent is to share this information which came in to my father’s hands over two decades ago. There is enough analytical knowledge in his bounded volumes to get any scientist excited. Not only that, all of it is completely verifiable through various bio-feedback mechanisms. Anyone who wishes to pursue this avenue is entirely welcome to do so and will have full cooperation and access to all of our materials and information.
So you may wonder how, if this is true, this very defined subject matter came about and why would I have access to it. Luck? I don’t know. The person who taught the original classes that my father attended (it took him several years) has long since passed away. There of course are several theories of intrigue and even of mysticism, but I cannot tell you if any are true. All I can say is that it has been both a blessing and a curse. More of the blessing in that I and many members of my family and friends have benefited from the insight and understanding that it gave to us about ourselves and each other. Again this is all subjective, I felt it was a curse for me in that instead of judging others by their behaviors or actions I would allow certain behaviors and actions to continue due to the understanding that I did not understand them and with the idea of “teaching“. If that makes sense. All it means is that there was a long time in my life where I stretched beyond empathy.
As with anything else this can be used for “good” or “bad”. What I would consider “bad” would be the manipulation of others for personal gain of money, sex or a myriad of other things. Yes, you can learn to tell if a person (male or female) is sexually starved, especially naïve or even if they would make a good cult member. History teaches us (if we listen) that information and secrets never fare well when hidden from the masses. Eventually the tides always turn. This is my attempt to turn the tides. Do with it as you will but understand either way that if you wish to be truly proficient at it a great deal of study will be required.
My purpose here is to provide this to anyone who wishes to have it in layman’s terms. This is in fact an altruistic effort, even if one person were to truly gain the understanding that there is no ultimate good or evil in any one person I would be happy. As everything else is in this world, so are people in that good and bad are subjective, always tainted by the concept of perception, experience and interpretation. It is my hope that in doing this it will help people to move closer to the concept of the oneness/sameness of all things. That we should not judge our neighbor and that everyone has their own personal demons and struggles. We would do well to recognize the similarities as opposed to the differences. Even in the differences, there are similarities…
What I will do is post a trait each week that will include its name, its purpose, classification (for example physical versus emotional), how to measure or “eyeball” it (although some can only be defined by measurement) and its positive and negative aspects and how to combat them. I will try to include examples of famous people who have a particular trait that I am addressing that is apparent. The first six will be traits that will allow you to make generalizations about people and yourself. You will be able to look at them and know how they most likely will respond and in what way to a given scenario.
Call me crazy. No, really. The first one is self-confidence and will be posted soon.
